A few of you asked about the list of 10 ways to simplify that was given in the sermon this morning. Most of these are taken from Richard Foster's Celebration of Discipline.
- buy things for their usefulness instead of their status
- reject anything that is producing an addiction in you
- develop a habit of giving things away
- refuse to be propagandized by the custodians of modern gadgetry
- learn to enjoy things without owning them
- develop a deeper appreciation for the creation
- do not participate in buy now pay later schemes
- reject anything that breeds the oppression of others
- don't go to something that is scheduled
- say, "no, I can't"
